It was Monday, January 23, 1888, when six landowners from the Minden district met at the Victoria Hotel on the market square to rectify the catastrophic abuses of the dairy industry.

Just 10 months after its founding, a dairy opened at Immanuelstraße 3. From then until 1951, it supplied the city's residents with milk and butter every day, even during the most difficult times.

The chronicle praises: “During the war years, despite low-level air raids until the city was occupied by Allied troops, we supplied the entire population of Minden, the hospitals, and the field hospitals with drinking milk every day!”
