Sara Roka originally comes from Canadabut has already worked in countless other countries around the world and can therefore look back on many years of experience. So she was always inspired by her fellow men and her environment when it came to new designs.Currently Sara lives in Italybefore she worked in the USA. She shows both impressively in her collections, which always express the individual ideas of these places. Sara Roka studied at Fashion Institute of Technology and finished her studies with top grades.
No wonder she made it to the top designers in the world and worked for Michael Kors and Valentino first. However, this was by no means all she wanted to do, so she expanded her craft to various Italian fashion houses. Sara left her footprint wherever she worked.
The Designer loves the Diversity. The spectrum ranges from chic evening dressto the point of beautiful Tops or Knitted clothing. And also in terms of materials and techniques, she did not limit herself, so that an infinite variety is offered here as well, as only Sara Roka can.
It all started with a man's shirt
Sara has been spending her time in Italy for 11 years and has always been interested in Italian mills, the special fabrics and the factories that still inspire her today.And even more: Sara Roka adores the classic men's shirt and so it was her personal concern, which later became a real passion, to design a collection around a basic style, which is actually quite classic: The men's shirt! When women started to borrow items from men's wardrobe, the change in women's fashion and style history began.
Everyone knows the sexy scenes from Hollywood movies in which women put on their partner's shirt and look so incredibly good. So Roka took the challenge of the traditional men's shirt and turned it into a modern must-have.
The quality, comfort and workmanship of the original should of course be preserved. "I've always loved this shirt because it has many faces!" When you think of fashion from Italy, the luxurious cotton fabrics, such as Poplin or Oxford...in front of your eyes. And of course the wonderful decorations, the special details and the exceptionally fine finishes of the garments.
And that was exactly what prompted the designer to create her own creative collections. Innovative blouses, dresses and tops were created - the timeless men's shirtor the essence of it, however, always remained the foundation stone and was always preserved.
